Your Responsibilities and Tasks

As a Project Manager, you lead the Network Infrastructure projects by working in close relationships with the different stakeholders (clients, vendors, contractors and internally). You manage the project from the original concept through final implementation.

  • Provide support to adequately evaluate the scope and costs of the projects (governance, PMP, task schedule, resource allocation, cost breakdown,…)
  • Coordinate all project related phases and operations including communication with application owners and validation of the system
  • Monitor the progress of the projects and make adjustments as necessary to ensure the successful completion of the projects within planning
  • Identify and analyse risks; ensure equipment, hardware and software risks are managed and monitored; taking action aimed at eliminating or reducing this risk
  • Implement and deliver the changes as defined in the project charter and offer suggestions for change in a positive and constructive manner
  • Organize steering committee and report all status about activities, advancement, pitfalls, corrective actions, budget and timeframe
  • Write qualitative documents (minutes, mails, slides, summary, project plans,…)
  • You act as people manager within a matrixed environment and ensure your team members have all the tools in hand to correctly deliver the project

Your Skills and Knowledge

  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in Project Management (work planning, estimating, resource planning, risk assessment, scope and issue management) within large IT environments
  • Broad understanding of multiple network technologies (WAN, CISCO, Palo Alto, , industrial environment MPLS, DMVPN, etc)
  • Excellent helicopter view in ICT Infrastructure (network, unified communications, cloud, datacentre, security,…)
  • Strong ability to structure the execution of project and team work where team members are in a functional line rather than a hierarchical line
  • Experience in managing relationships with business partners and external IT Service partners/ vendors
  • Prince 2 (or equivalent methodologies PMP, PMI, Agile) certification is preferred
  • Knowledge of IT service management (e.g. ITIL) is preferred
  • Focused on results and operational excellence
  • Skilled communicator and conflict manager
  • Fluency in English and French is required
