Your Responsibilities and Tasks
As IT System Engineer you will apply your technical expertise to support a large and complex Windows server environment (physical and virtual servers)
- Install, configure or upgrade of the company Windows server platform (Windows server 2003/2008/2012/2016, Active Directory, DNS, File & Print services, SCCM, VMware, Storage and SAN Systems)
- Troubleshoot (second level/third level) incidents involving Windows server and other interconnected systems (multi-vendor environment)
- Manage migrations activities of the international Windows server environment (e.g. Windows Server 2003/2008/2012 to Windows Server 2008/2012/2016)
- Identify, define and design technical and operational requirements of new or existing systems with the systems owners; contribute to the configuration, testing and deployment of those systems
- Take part in team root cause analysis and work to prevent future occurrence of the incidents or problems
- Participate in the writing of reports or procedures and maintain the quality-assurance documentation
Your Skills and Knowledge
- You have at least 3 years’ experience with Windows server administration in a large-scale company environment
- Experience in installing, supporting and administering Windows servers platforms (2003/2008/2012/2016), Active Directory (AD), DNS, DHCP, LDAP integration, Backup operations, file services
- Knowledge of PowerShell or VBScript
- Good knowledge of VMware is an advantage
- Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities with a strong customer focus and with effective communication towards the client
- Ability to prioritize multiple assigned tasks in high-pressure environment
- Communicate fluently in French with a good active operational spoken and written knowledge of English
